First Look Of Ek Thi Begum Out Now; MX Player Brings Life Of Sapna Didi To Web?
The first look of MX Player's series Ek Thi Begum is out now. The series is said to be based on the life of Sapna Didi who planned to kill gangster, Dawood Ibrahim.

A few months ago, Vishal Bharadwaj had announced a project with Deepika Padukone titled Sapna Didi which was based on the life and times of Ashraf Khan, a happy housewife turned calculative femme fatale whose main aim was to kill gangster Dawood Ibrahim. She was to share screen space with Irrfan Khan in this film. However, rumours now have it that Deepika has returned the signing amount and has conveyed that she would like to collaborate after Irrfan's recovery. So, it looks like that movie is now on the back burner. But don't be disappointed as we shall be able to see the story of Ashraf Khan aka Sapna Didi in some other way.
The first look of MX Player’s Ek Thi Begum is out and while the makers have said it's inspired by true events - we’ve heard that the story is indeed based on the same Ashraf Khan aka Sapna Didi. Looks like they did it first, but the question is - what all will this series reveal about the mafia queen? Early life, her husband and incidents of her face off with the biggest underworld don? In the lead, we shall see Anuja Sathe in this series.
Sapna Didi was married to a gangster, who worked under Dawood Ibrahim. In a turn of events, she found herself pushed to the brink and emerged as a dominant force to reckon with in the underworld. The trailer of Ek Thi Begum will be out on April 6.
